A Winning Combination

Doug Chandler is one of America’s true Superbike heroes. With three AMA Championship titles and four years in World Grand Prix, Doug is arguably the most experienced rider in the AMA series.

Chandler made world headlines when he teamed up with HMC Racing to ride the Ducati for the 2002 AMA Superbike season.

A sentimental favorite, the soft spoken pilot dazzles the fans at every stop.

Coupled with this multi talented team, HMC Ducati hopes to take on the AMA field with a new vengance.

Rider
Three-time AMA Superbike Champion and former GP star, Doug is a veteran rider.

He began his racing career in F1 in '84 switching to Superbike by '87. Within four seasons the Californian had claimed the Championship, earning him a World GP ride, teaming up with fellow Americans Kevin Schwantz and John Kocinski.

In '95 he returned to the American circuits, but it wasnât until the following year, aboard a factory Kawasaki, that he won his second Championship and repeated the performance the following season.

The 36-years old made headlines when he teamed up with HMC Racing to ride the Ducati for the remainder for the 2002 AMA Superbike season. With just three days of riding the new Testastretta, he finished a combined Superbike test, at Laguna Seca Raceway, fastest overall. An excellent result considering he had been off a Superbike for more than seven months.

The team couldn't be happier with their humble, quietly spoken pilot, who they know will get them closer to the Championship trophy than they have ever been before.
