A Suomy podium at Brno!   Print
July 22, 2007 – Brno (Czech Rep). Two races ruled by Suomy riders yesterday in Brno!

Max Biaggi and James Toseland shared wins in both races and Michel Fabrizio, in race 2 , gave to Suomy the full podium!

The other Suomy riders Troy Bayliss and Lorenzo Lanzi had a disappointing day at  Brno circuit. A crash for Troy Bayliss in race 1 , taken out by Muggeridge on lap 12 and a sixth place finish in race 2 complicate matters  for Troy in the title battle. Lorenzo Lanzi also struggled on the with eighth place in race 1, but he did have the satisfaction of leading the field for the opening lap of race 2 before dropping to seventh.

Biaggi is at 43 points behind Toseland and he is happy to be in the title battle again.  Biaggi said “ It’s incredible to think of how many good memories I have of Brno and today continued that pattern. It’s a fantastic track because there is such a good variety of turns - some fast, some not so fast. Tyres were always going to be a bit of a problem today, but the second race was better for them because it was a bit cooler. I didn’t change anything to the bike from the first race to the second, except put fresh tyres in of course. It’s been a while since I won a race, but to win one today and finish second in the other makes me very happy. "
